President Vučić Visited „Combat Complex Systems“ in Kuršumlija
The President of Serbia and the Supreme Commander of the Serbian Armed Forces, Aleksandar Vučić, has visited the factory of Jugoimport’s affiliate company “Borbeni složeni sistemi” d.o.o. - BSS (Combat Complex Systems, Ltd.) in Kuršumlija.
The facility tour was attended by the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense Miloš Vučević, the Minister of Interior Bratislav Gašić, the Chief of General Staff SAF General Milan Mojsilović, and the management of Jugoimport-SDPR J.P.
During the tour of the BSS’s factory in Pljakovo, near Kuršumlija, dealing with manufacture of the “Miloš” and “Lazar” combat vehicles, President Vučić has stressed that we need to strengthen our army and defensive capabilities of our country. Referring to the current geopolitical situation, he added that every commodity produced by a defense industry can find its buyer nowadays.
The factory management has informed the President that the average salary has been raised, that the factory operates in accordance with the highest European standards, and that another plant is to be opened soon, the assembly plant. In particular, the plans involve construction and equipping of another production hall, which would enable Kuršumlija factory to do the final assembly of the “Miloš” and “Lazar” combat vehicles, unlike today when it is limited to the manufacture of the armored hull bodies, which are then transported to the Velika Plana plant for assembly.
During today’s tour, the plant management has acquainted President Vučić with the range of products, the obtained production level, and the production advantages to be reckoned on.
President Vučić has used today’s tour as an opportunity to talk to the employees, to thank them for their diligence, commend them for their hard work, and wish them success in their future endeavors.
Members of the Ministry of Defense RS and SAF, as well as the representatives of Jugoimport-SDPR and other factories of the Serbian defense industry have also attended today’s tour.
