Newly Introduced and Modernized Equipment of the Serbian Armed Forces Displayed on Vidovdan
A display of newly introduced and modernized combat equipment and systems of the Serbian Armed Forces was held today at the “Colonel-Pilot Milenko Pavlovic” military airfield in Batajnica, to mark Vidovdan, and the event was attended by the Serbian President and the Commander-in-Chief of the Serbian Armed Forces, Aleksandar Vucic, the Defence Minister Bratislav Gasic and the Chief of the General Staff of the Serbian Armed Forces, General Milan Mojsilovic.

The MiG-29 fighter aircraft in both their primary and secondary roles were presented, as well as the modernized “Orao-M1A” aircraft, Mi-35M and Mi-35P combat helicopters armed with unguided rockets and Ataka anti-tank guided missiles and H-145M multipurpose helicopter equipped with “Alas” system. Additionally, air defence systems were displayed, including HQ-17AE missile system, and the “Mistral” anti-aircraft missile system.

For the first time, the public was presented with Lanius-X suicide drone with pertaining ordnance. Also on display were “Kobac-3 PR” unmanned aerial vehicle detection and jamming kit, “Komarac”, “Komarac-2a” and “Komarac-3” armed interceptor drones, the “Osica” drone, as well as loitering munition.

On this occasion, the “Milos” remotely controlled unmanned platform was presented, along with the 30x173mm M123 dual-feed automatic gun integrated on the modernized infantry fighting vehicles, as well as various small-arms.

Also presented for the first time was the newly introduced rocket artillery system – the 122 mm RM-70 Vampir self-propelled multiple rocket launcher. Other artillery systems on display included the “Oganj” modular self-propelled multiple rocket launcher with the “Alas“ missile system, a 27-container launcher mounted on a 4x4 all-terrain truck chassis with “Gavran” loitering munition, and the “Nora B/52” self-propelled gun-howitzer equipped with a hardware modernization kit for the fire control system enabling the employment of the laser-guided ammunition.

Among the weapon systems on display were also the equipment from the production and development programme of Yugoimport-SDPR: the “Alas” missile system, as part of the ammunition set of the Oganj modular rocket system and the H-145 helicopter, the “Gavran” loitering munition displayed in the configuration of a self-propelled launcher mounted on the all-terrain truck chassis with 27 containers, the “Nora B/52”self-propelled gun-howitzer equipped with a hardware modernization kit for fire control system enabling the employment of the laser-guided ammunition, etc.

Following the presentation of the new capabilities of the Serbian Armed Forces, a live firing demonstration utilizing the new and modernized aircraft and weapon systems will be conducted at the “Pasuljanske livade” training grounds, including the launcher mounted on the “Aleksandar the Unifier” truck chassis equipped with 8 launch containers, as well as a command vehicle mounted on the same chassis.
