Joint Tactical Exercise "Response 2021" of the Serbian Army and Police Units at the "Orešac" and "Pasuljanske livade" Training Grounds

About 1,200 members of the Serbian Army and about 300 members of the Police force took part in the "Response 2021" exercise. Members of the Army, Air Force and Air Defense, the 72nd Special Operations Brigade, the 63rd Parachute Brigade, Gendarmerie, and the Ministry of Interior's Special Anti-Terrorist and Helicopter units demonstrated their abilities.

The first part of the Joint Tactical Exercise "Response 2021" was performed at the "Orešac" training ground. The goal of this complex and dynamic segment of the exercise at "Orešac" was to show the capability of the 72nd Special Operations Brigade in solving tactical and fire missions during the preparation and execution of the counter-terrorist operation, in cooperation with the Air Force and Air Defense Forces, the 63rd Parachute Brigade and the Ministry of the Interior's Special Anti-Terrorist unit on the topic of "Elimination of a terrorist group and release of hostages".

More than 200 members of the Serbian Army and about 100 members of the Police force took part in the exercise. It involved the engagement of 8 aircraft, 22 combat vehicles, 7 boats, 2 UAVs, as well as other modern combat and non-combat equipment used by special units.

The exercise was performed in three planes: on land, in the air and on water, through five sequences - reconnaissance, occupation of the blockade line, attack on terrorist forces, freeing of hostages and evacuation.

Tactical and combat actions were demonstrated within the anti-terrorist combat, involving joint units of the Serbian Army and the Ministry of the Interior. An important role, within this exercise, were carried by 4x4 "Milos" armored combat vehicles which were recently delivered to the Serbian Army, as well as "Hammer" vehicles.

More than 140 weapons and weapon systems participated in the part of the exercise "Response 2021" taking pace at "Pasuljanske livade" training ground.

The spectators had the opportunity to see the extraordinary effects of the "Pasars" missile system, the "Pancir S-1" battery and the brigade missile group of "Plamen S" multiple rocket launchers while firing at the enemy positions.

A significant segment of the exercise was reserved to demonstrate the actions of the Gendarmerie against the infiltrated terrorist groups. These dynamic sequences included maneuvers and decisive action of multi-purpose armored combat vehicles "Lazar 3", as well as combat armored vehicles BOV M11 and BOV M15, whose modernization and conversion, for the needs of the Ministry of the Interior, was carried out by Jugoimport-SDPR.

The exercise at the Pasuljanske livade training ground showed exceptional firepower and excellent cooperation of forces.
