Firing Demonstrations of the Serbian Army on the Proving Ground in Nikinci

Firing demonstartions were performed with small arms used by the Serbian Army, as well as with weapon systems which are still under development on the proving ground „Nikinci" on 29 July 2018.

The firing demonstrations were attended by the President of the Republic of Serbia, Mr. Aleksandar Vucic, the Minister of Defence, Mr. Aleksandar Vulin, Director of the Security Intelligence Agency, Mr. Branislav Gasic, and the representatives of the Serbian Army and Jugoimport-SDPR J.P.

A part of new electronic reconnaissance systems was presented on the occasion, as well as the performance of command and reconnaissance vehicles, 8x8 multi-role armoured fighting vehicle "Lazar 3" and mobile air defence rocket system PASARS 16, along with the new generation of reconnaissance optoelectronic systems MIP 1, "Oganj", etc.

It was fired by means of 12.7mm RCWS from two "Lazar" vehicles and the results showed in hitting the armoured target at 500m were extremly good. The soldiers from the crew compartment of the third "Lazar" vehicle fired with personal armament through firing ports at standing targets simulating an enemy ambush during combat in a populated area. All targets were hit in both cases.
Additionally, a part of the armament from the project "1500+" was also presented.

The project "1.500+" consists of locally developed armament and military equipment, involving also the new generation of small arms with increased efficiency which includes modular automatic rifles M17 6.5 x 39 mm / 7.62 x 39 mm, sniper repeating rifles М07 and semi-automatic rifles М91/16, long-range sniper rifles 12.7 mm M12 and tactical pistols E3 9mm PARA.

The items for equipping the Serbian Army units within the project "1.500+" also include an up to date set of protective ballistic and tactical equipment, as well as 8x8 multi-role armoured fighting vehicles "Lazar 3"
