The tactical exercise “Neighbours 25”, conducted jointly by members of the Serbian and Hungarian Armed Forces, commenced yesterday at the “Pasuljanske livade“ training ground and will continue until 7 October. This is the 10th joint exercise bringing together the Serbian Armed Forces and Hungarian Armed Forces under the designation “ Neighbours”.

Throughout the several days in the field, the members of the Serbian First Army Brigade and the Hungarian 30th Mechanized Infantry Brigade are to practice combat actions and procedures during the tactical-level operations, employing modern combat vehicles, including the multipurpose combat vehicles “Lazar 3” which once again demonstrated high reliability in the execution of various tactical manoeuvers and the most demanding tasks.

With its 8x8 drive system and the advanced independent suspension system on all eight wheels, the Lazar 3 armored combat vehicle delivers high mobility and load-bearing capacity. Its power pack is accommodated in the front right section of the vehicle, completely sealed off from the crew compartment, while the central transfer system ensures torque distribution to all wheels. All axles are driven, while the first two are steerable. The vehicle is also equipped with highly sophisticated modular ballistic and anti-mine protection, as well as air-conditioning system that ensures the operability of both the vehicle and the crew in extreme environmental conditions.
