Training of the Cyprus National Guard members on the combat use of 155 mm B/52 M-15 “Nora” self-propelled gun-howitzer
As part of the Bilateral Military Cooperation Plan with the Republic of Cyprus, training for members of the Cyprus National Guard on the combat use of 155 mm B/52 M-15 “Nora” self-propelled gun-howitzers was successfully conducted in Serbia for the third consecutive year.

During a two-week training at the Serbian Army proving grounds, Cypriot soldiers acquired, under the supervision of the instructors from the Mixed Artillery Brigade, essential knowledge regarding the use and operation of the weapon system.

The final phase of the training took place at “Pasuljanske livade” proving ground, where a joint battery composed of Serbian and Cypriot platoons was formed for the training purposes. The battery practiced occupying firing positions, reconnaissance, target detection and setting the firing elements, with the execution of preparatory and live firings in accordance with established norms and standards.

The results, particularly in terms of accuracy during firing, confirmed the high quality of the training and successful achievement of planned objectives.

The training of the Cyprus National Guard members – who has in its service the “Nora” self-propelled gun-howitzers produced in our country - is one of many activities within the framework of bilateral military cooperation between Serbia and Cyprus aimed at strengthening mutual trust and enhancing the capabilities of armed forces.
