Serbian Armed Forces units evaluated for participation in a peacekeeping operation using “Milos” armoured combat vehicles
An infantry company from the Third Army Brigade, designated for deployment to the United Nations peacekeeping operation in Lebanon, has successfully completed its training and interoperability evaluation. The assessment took place this week at “Jug” base and “Borovac” proving ground with the use of “Milos” armoured combat vehicles.

The unit was evaluated by a team from the General Staff of the Serbian Armed Forces during the “Serbian shield 27” exercise.

The multi-day training activities were organized as per the tasks the company will encounter in the zone of operations, including patrolling, surveillance and event reporting, establishing permanent checkpoints, mass gathering control and base security.

The Serbian Armed Forces began its involvement in the peacekeeping operation in Lebanon in 2012 by deploying one infantry platoon. By the following year, the deployment was expanded to the level of an infantry company.
