Second Phase of Joint Live-Fire Tactical Exercise “Victor 2026”
As part of the second phase of the joint live-fire tactical exercise “Victor 2026”, Serbian Army units are conducting training activities at multiple locations to practice offensive combat operations.
During this phase, the participating units conducted a tactical road march from their peacetime locations to the designated area aboard Lazar 3 multipurpose armored combat vehicles, applying force-protection measures and conducting combat operations under varying conditions and tactical scenarios, both by day and at night.
The focus is on establishing a military presence in designated areas, exercising control over territory, monitoring road communications and facilities of importance to the success of the operation, as well as testing the operating procedures in a civilian environment.
The training activities are aimed at both improving and evaluating the units’ ability to perform tasks while on the march, including their proficiency in employing newly introduced weapons and observation equipment that provide Serbian Armed Forces commands and units with new capabilities regarding situational awareness and enable them to carry out their tasks effectively.
The joint exercise “Victor 2026” began in late August and will continue until the first week of October. Activities conducted to date have demonstrated the high level of training, readiness and professionalism of Serbian Armed Forces personnel, as well as their ability to effectively employ new and modernized equipment and systems. At the same time, the exercise has demonstrated a high degree of coordination and interoperability in responding to contemporary challenges, risks and threats to the security of the Republic of Serbia.
