Lazar 3M armored combat vehicles tested at Nikinci Weapons and Military Equipment Test Center

Chief of the General Staff of the Serbian Armed Forces, General Milan Mojsilovic, accompanied by the Head of Development and Equipment Directorate, Head of the Chief of the General Staff Office, the Director of the Technical Test Center, and representatives of Jugoimport-SDPR, visited the Nikinci Weapons and Military Equipment Test Center today.

During the visit, General Mojsilovic evaluated the progress of tasks carried out by this unit of the Technical Test Center, and observed the training of the Serbian Armed Forces members with the Lazar 3M armored combat wheeled vehicle and the upgraded M-80AB1v2 infantry combat vehicle.

On this occasion, he also estimated the current phase of activities related to the quality acceptance of the Lazar M3 vehicles, which will soon be introduced to the Serbian Armed Forces units.

Lazar 3M vehicles are equipped with a remote controlled 30 mm combat module intended to act against enemy troops, weapons, unarmored and light armored equipment, as well as to enable situational awareness, reconnaissance and target recognition - capabilities that give Lazar 3M greater combat performance compared to similar vehicles in service with the Serbian Armed Forces.

Following the visit, General Mojsilovic expressed satisfaction with the quality of training conducted at the Center, as well as with the professionalism and dedication of the experts engaged in tasks critical to the introduction of new military equipment, and that directly contribute to enhancing the operational readiness of the Serbian Armed Forces for assigned missions.

He noted that the introduction of new armored vehicles into service will significantly improve the Army’s ability to carry out tasks on the move and maneuvers, as well as firepower and protection of infantry units on the battlefield.
