Intensive training on 155 mm B/52 M-15 “Nora” self-propelled gun-howitzer
Intensive training of professional personnel is currently underway at the deployment sites of the Mixed Artillery Brigade and on the proving ground near Nis, focusing on the combat use of the 155 mm B/52 M-15 “Nora” self-propelled gun-howitzers and 262 mm M-87 “Orkan” self-propelled multiple rocket launchers.

This is a part of regular training activities aimed at maintaining a high level of combat readiness and fire support capability for units of the Serbian Army. The training also prepares professional soldiers to take on additional responsibilities as members of the crews operating these high-firepower systems.

The current phase emphasizes tactical drills with artillery and rocket batteries, covering preparation and execution of indirect fire mission. Training includes procedures for reconnaissance, occupation of firing positions and observation posts, target acquisition and the execution of fire commands. Through collective training, maximum coordination within crews is achieved, ensuring fulfillment of prescribed standards from target detection to fire execution.

Continuous training and tactical drills are crucial for preserving the high level of readiness of artillery and rocket system crews, as well as for enhancing the overall capabilities of the Mixed Artillery Brigade in providing accurate, reliable and powerful fire support to Serbian Armed Forces unit during operations.
