Demonstration of Armaments and Defense Equipment of Serbian Armed Forces held in Niš
As part of the state ceremony held on the occasion of the Candlemas Day – the Serbian Statehood Day, a demonstration of armaments and defense equipment of Serbian Armed Forces was held in Niš today.
The President of Serbia and the Supreme Commander of the Serbian Armed Forces, Aleksandar Vučić, together with the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense Miloš Vučević, Chief of General Staff SAF General Milan Mojsilović, management of Jugoimport-SDPR, and other renowned representatives of the Ministry of Defense, have attended a stationary demonstration of armaments and defense equipment of Serbian Armed Forces.
A large number of combat systems and materiel were exhibited in Niš, as well as an array of weapons, defense equipment, and products of Serbian defense industry.
The materiel from the range of products of Jugoimport-SDPR have attracted the interest of the visitors, particularly the multipurpose combat armored vehicles “Lazar 3” and “Lazar 3M”, combat armored vehicles “Miloš” and “Miloš 2”, 155 mm self-propelled gun-howitzer “Nora B-52”, 128/262 mm multi-tube modular self-propelled rocket launcher “Tamnava”, “Alas” missile, kamikaze-drone „Raven“, etc.
Technical Test Center of SAF should shortly start testing the combat armored vehicle „Miloš 2“. Also expected to start soon is the testing of howitzer „NORA B52 NG“ and „Alas“ missile, while the testing of kamikaze-drone „Gavran“ is scheduled for the end of the year.
The goal is to introduce the 128/262 mm multi-tube modular self-propelled rocket launcher “Tamnava” into service of SAF by the end of the year.
President Vučić has underlined that modern wars teach us that the artillery is the one winning the front. Introduction of 155 mm gun-howitzer „Nora B-52 NG“, and 128/262 mm multi-tube modular self-propelled rocket launcher “Tamnava” into service of SAF, once the testing in the TTC is completed, shall significantly increase the combat power of our artillery.
Today’s demonstration was attended by the representatives of the Ministry of Defense and SAF, Jugoimport-SDPR, Serbian institutions and defense industry, local municipality and a numerous citizens.
