Lazar 3M Armored Multi-Purpose Combat Vehicle Test Firing

The armored multi-purpose combat vehicle „Lazar 3" has been assessed through a test firing. This armored vehicle is equipped with a remotely controlled weapon station (RCWS) 32 В01 with a 30 mm gun. The vehicle had undergone some modifications: the firing ports were eliminated, the seating arrangement changed, and the ballistic protection level was upgraded.
The testing was performed to verify the tactical and technical features of all aiming, measuring, and weapon systems on the new RCWS. The gun calibration was tested by firing from a parking position at fixed targets set up at ranges of up to 1800 m. Moving targets were fired at from the parking position and from the marching position, while driving towards the target, at ranges of up to 1600 m. The new RCWS 32 B01 includes an automatic 30 x 165 mm gun 2A42, having a range of up to 4 km, and a 7.62 mm coaxial machine gun, with a 1.5 km range. The aiming system includes tv and thermal imaging sights combined with a laser range finder, which ensures efficient deployment day and night, in various weather conditions.
