The active phase of the joint live-fire tactical exercise “Victor 2026” has begun
The active phase of the joint live-fire tactical exercise “Victor 2026” has begun at the Pešter Temporary Training Area, performed jointly by the Serbian Land Forces, Air Force and Air Defense, special forces and military police.
The exercise will run until early October. In line with the exercise scenario and schedule, activities will include tactical training and a joint live-fire exercise on the Pešter Plateau. Following this, a Land Forces unit will practise combat operations and tactical procedures on the march, while the final phase will see Serbian Military Police units conduct tactical training and live-fire exercises at several locations.
The exercise is aimed at further enhancing the ability of commands and units to prepare for and conduct combat operations, while strengthening force coordination, cooperation and protection. Particular emphasis is being placed on the operational employment of newly introduced and modernized weapons and military equipment.
The main activities are underway at the Pešter temporary training area, where participating units are conducting tactical drills and live-fire training. Among the assets deployed in the exercise are the Lazar 3 and Lazar 3M multirole armored combat vehicles. The introduction of the Lazar family of armored combat vehicles into service, alongside other newly fielded systems and equipment currently being introduced into the Serbian Armed Forces, marks a significant step forward in enhancing the combat capabilities of the Serbian Land Forces.
Through the exercise, the Serbian Armed Forces will demonstrate to the wider public their readiness and high level of training, as well as the firepower and capabilities of newly introduced and modernized weapons and military systems. The exercise will also showcase the high degree of interoperability among participating units in responding to challenges, risks and threats to the security of the Republic of Serbia.
