Intensive Training on Modern Combat Systems – Multi-Purpose Armoured Combat Vehicles “Lazar3” and “Lazar 3M”
In the area od deployment of the Serbian Armed Forces infantry units, intensive training of the professional personnel is being conducted in order to execute assigned missions and tasks in the operations on the modern battlefield.
The training plan includes practical activities carried out at the firing grounds and on training simulators for the employment of multi-purpose armoured combat vehicles, multirotor combat drones, the weapons for direct fire support, observation and data acquisition, as well as a wide range of small arms – with which the units of this branch of the Serbian Armed Forces have been equipped in the previous period.

During this period, the soldiers and their superiors are practicing tactical actions and combat procedures that precede the firing training with branch weapons in the next phase of winter training cycle, followed by the tactical exercises with live firing.
One of the objectives of the training is to further prepare the newly enlisted soldiers for the initial duties within the infantry units, thereby enabling them to quickly achieve the required standards of fire and tactical proficiency and to be fully capable to carry out the missions on the battlefield, both independently and as part of a crew or a team.

The combat capabilities of Serbian Armed Forces infantry units – primarily the firepower, manoeuver and force protection – have been greatly improved in recent years by the introduction of the modern armoured vehicles into the operational service, above all the multi-role armoured combat vehicles “Lazar 3” and “Lazar 3M”, drones, new types of small arms, and protective, optronic and other military equipment, and by intensification of combat training of professional personnel in all weather, terrain and tactical conditions.
