Strategic Partnership Agreement

„Utva Aircraft Industry", a company owned by „Jugoimport–SDPR", and the School of Mechanical Engineering of the University of Belgrade signed a strategic partnership agreement at the „PARTNER 2019" Defense Exhibition today.

The idea behind the agreement is to establish a connection between the higher education institutions and industry that will promote science and innovations, and improve the level of technology through specific activities that have an educational, applied and developmental dimension.

The concrete results achieved by Utva during development and testing of the new aircraft, and the capabilities that the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering can offer, have led to their mutual interest aimed at developing new design solutions and technological procedures.

Some of the actual collaboration aspects are best illustrated by the introduced 4.0 industry in the aircraft industry, the educational program, improved infrastructure, joint development and implementation of new aircraft technologies, joint research and development projects etc.

This Agreement will also be beneficial to students as they will be able to take direct part in aircraft design and production and other activities of „Utva Aircraft Industry“.

„Utva“ has announced a competition for the best UAV design solution. Senior-year students of the technical schools in the region will be eligible for participation. The best solution will win a money prize and the participants will be given the opportunity to realize the solution. The competition anouncement will be published soon and you will be informed accordingly.
