Display of Armaments at Military Technical Institute

Today, the President of Serbia and the Supreme Commander of the Serbian Armed Forces, Aleksandar Vučić, visited the Military Technical Institute (MTI), together with the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense Miloš Vučević, Chief of General Staff SAF General Milan Mojsilović, and management of Jugoimport-SDPR.

Presented at MTI during a tactical and technical display, were combat and non-combat systems, numerous weapons, defense equipment, and products of the Serbian defense industry, including unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV) and drones.

During the MTI tour, President Vučić showed particular interest in prototypes of kamikaze drones. He was acquainted with several models of drones, including the loitering munition “Gavran” (Raven) intended for surveillance and attack at a wide range of targets, neutralization of tanks and other armored vehicles, command posts, artillery positions, movable and stationary targets, etc.

Recognized for their relevance, there were drone “Komarac” (Mosqito), as well as UAV “Vrabac” (Sparrow) intended for surveillance at 25 km range. The President was also informed of the performances of “Pegasus”, the UAV already introduced in service of SAF.

The materiel attracting particular attention were the products of R&D and production program of Jugoimport-SDPR: multipurpose combat armored vehicle “Lazar 3”, combat armored vehicles “Miloš” and “Miloš 2”, 155 mm self-propelled gun-howitzer “Nora B-52 NG”, 128/262 mm multi-tube modular self-propelled rocket launcher “Tamnava”, “Alas” missile, loitering munition “Gavran”, etc. Several small arms weapons were also displayed – automatic rifles, pistols, sniper, and other rifles.

The tour was attended by the representatives of the Ministry of Defense and SAF, Jugoimport-SDPR, defense industry factories, and MTI.
